World Food Day

We talked with our youngest participants about the healthy food pyramid, and we were positively surprised by how much they know! After countless examples of fruits, vegetables, cereals, sweets, and the task on the worksheet, we treated ourselves to apples, carrots, and bananas.

World Food Day is celebrated on October 16, which encourages action for the future of food, people, and the environment and awareness of hunger. In 1979, the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) declared October 16 to be World Food Day.
