ZERO DISCRIMINATION DAY 2018

On the 5th of March, 2018 Svitac (Firefly) celebrated Zero Discrimination Day. We discussed in both age groups the importance of treating others respectfully and that we shouldn’t discriminate against anyone for any reason.

With the younger children we made paper penguins of all shapes, sizes and colors. We spoke about how even though they are all different, they all belong to the same waddle (group).

With the older children we learned about Japanese Origami and we discussed how when learn about other cultures it gives us understanding and respect for others. We folded Origami cranes, flowers and giraffes.
