World Refugee Day 2021
World Refugee Day is celebrated on June 20 with the aim of raising awareness of the difficult situation facing people around the world who are being forced to leave their homes.
Svitac (Firefly Bosnia) marked this day with participants aged 4-7 years with an adapted working and methodical method. We watched the cartoon “Three Fishes”; the evil fishermen wanted to take away their living space, shells and corals, but all the fishes decide to fight together for their sea.
We wanted to show the participants in a symbolic way that “every fish can swim freely in the sea” and that no one has the right to take away living space, home or separate them from friends and family.
The workshop was held on the premises of the Youth Center Brcko District.
