World Kindness Day

World Kindness Day is celebrated annually on November 13th to encourage individuals to be kind to one another, to themselves, and to the world around them.

We can definitely become happier by doing kind things for others! This is also a reminder that simple acts of kindness can have a powerful impact on both individuals and communities.

Svitac’s (Firefly in Bosnia’s) youngest participants celebrated this day with interesting activities that our volunteers prepared. First, they talked about what it means to be kind and learned some basic phrases in English, such as “thank you,” “you are welcome,” “please,” “I am sorry,” and “I like you.” After that, they made a beautiful poster with hearts and symbolic messages.
