World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development
On May 21st, Svitac (Firefly Bosnia) marked “World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development “. For the day, Svitac (Firefly Bosnia) organized two workshops. The first workshop was for participants from 4 to 7 years old. The participants learned about the 7 continents at the workshop. The material was adapted to the participants’ age. Then, they answered questions on their differences and similarities within the group, and whether or not they all spoke the local languages. The final conclusion that they arrived at with the help of the daily coordinator was that everybody is different, but they need to be friends with others regardless of these differences. The workshop was held inside of the Youth Centre in the Brčko District.
The second group of 8+ participants had the opportunity to view the program that prepared the network “Promote Positive” arts and culture event. The name of the event was „The World of Cultural Differences for Dialogue and Development”. They had an opportunity to look at a program that represents diverse cultures from the local community as well as Chinese culture. The workshop was held at the Brčko District’s Square.
