World Book Day 2025
World Book Day is a wonderful celebration that introduces young children to the joy of reading and the magic of stories. It is a special time when we come together to spark excitement around books, often with fun activities like reading or sharing stories aloud.
For young children, learning about World Book Day helps build a positive connection to reading from the very beginning; it is incredibly important—it supports language development, boosts imagination, and lays the foundation for lifelong learning.
Svitac (Firefly in Bosnia) has celebrated this day by creating little booklets with the youngest participants and reading their favourite stories. The workshop was held at the premises of the Youth centre.
