Watersports Training in Greece!
From 1st to 14th of August 2015 four volunteers from Brčko participated in a summer camp for watersports training in Greece in Nydri on Lefkas Island.
During their time there they learned kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, trapezing and a few other water sports. They even got to bike when not on the water! This was all done with the help of Horizon Watersports, a small watersports centre in Nydri that is run by amazingly friendly, skilled, and enthusiastic people.
Svitac’s participants were also taught how to determine the strength and direction of the wind, and how to act if their sails go down, if their boats topple over, and how to get out of some other dangerous or unpleasant situations while doing water sports.
Our participants felt the camp was fun, even during the parts of the day covering theory and simulations.
