My volunteering at Svitac (Firefly) – Bonnie Sturgess, Australia
My time working with Svitac (Firefly) and living in Brcko was both rewarding and enjoyable.
I loved the flexibility and independence offered in the work environment, as I was encouraged to contribute in whatever way I wanted, meaning that I was always able to contribute to a field I loved and enjoyed, working with Art, English and health.
Coinciding with this independence is the support provided by both the permanent Svitac (Firefly) members of staff and international volunteers.
Svitac (Firefly) truly provides its volunteers with a small yet welcoming community that I will be sorry to say goodbye to!
Thank you Svitac (Firefly) for this wonderful opportunity, I hope to see you again soon!
