The New Year’s Party 2022
Svitac (Firefly in Bosnia) held an annual event “The New Year’s Party” on December 14th and it was a great event with parents, friends, music, games, and lots of laughter!
The event started with a program for both the participants and their friends and parents. There was a classical guitar performance, and a violin performance, the children aged 4-7 performed a story “Rainbow fish”, recited songs about friendship, solidarity, and joy in the snow, and danced. When the program was over, the parents left their children to enjoy many games and arts and crafts stations.
For the children aged 4-7 and 8+, there were arts and crafts – making New Year’s cards as well as a game station where participants played diverse competitive games or made music with drums.
After the activities, everyone was invited back into the main room for a new year’s Bingo, where all the participants got a present when their number was called out.
The event ended with refreshments when participants had the opportunity to talk, meet new friends and enjoy the party. Svitac’s (Firefly in Bosnia’s) New Year’s Party was attended by many participants and guests and was made possible with the support of staff, and local and international volunteers.
The party was held at the premises of the Youth center Brčko District BiH.
