The New Year’s Event 2024
Svitac (Firefly in Bosnia) held an annual activity “The New Year’s Event” on December 18th and it was a great opportunity to spend time with participants, parents, and friends.
The event started with a festive program: a classical guitar performance, recitals in English and the youngest participants performed a story “Winter Friends”, sang a song about the Snowflakes, and Jingle Bells, and danced.
Also this year we had a New Year’s Bingo, where all the participants got a present when their number was called out, face painting, and a musical chairs station.
The event ended with refreshments; everybody was spending time together, talking, laughing, and enjoying their time. Svitac’s (Firefly in Bosnia’s) New Year’s Event was attended by many participants and guests. Our local and international volunteers also made the same cakes and typical food from their countries. It makes us happy to see so many smiling faces and joy and to receive great feedback from the local community. The party was held at the premises of the Youth centre Brčko District BiH.
