SPRING FESTIVAL 2018
On 20th April 2018, Omladinska organizacija Svitac (Firefly) organized an event for its participants, their families and friends. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Svitac’s (Firefly’s) international and local volunteers, the event was a big success. Around 100 participants, including our guests from Glossa – Centre for German language (who also participated in the program), joined us in our Youth Centre and had a great time socializing and enjoying the program of activities set up by Svitac (Firefly) staff and volunteers.
The event programme was full of entertaining and amusing performances. Our friends from Glossa presented a short film that raised awareness about environmental issues and their group also performed three poems. Svitac (Firefly) participants from the age 8+ group performed a flute composition, Tarega on guitar and two songs. Adin Midžić (Svitac’s/Firefly’s Daily Schedule Coordinator), along with the other international and local volunteers, helped participants from the 4-6 years age group to perform two songs in local language.
At the end of the programme, our guests were invited to take part in some interactive activities held by local volunteers and Glossa. The activities on offer were a paper flowers creations and games. All guests were then invited to enjoy refreshments.
We had a wonderful time hosting this year’s Spring Festival and are looking forward to see you all here again next year!
