OUR VOLUNTEERING AT SVITAC (FIREFLY IN BOSNIA) – volunteer’s blog August/September ’25

Hello, we are Ömer and Selim, short-term volunteers from Association MOSAIC. It is our supporting organisation in this ESC program.

We are doing the European Solidarity Corps project at Omladinska organizacija Svitac, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We feel very happy when we spend time with the children. This is a very good project for both of us and the children because we share culture and learn from each other.

The feeling is incredible when we spend time with them, and we believe the world needs to be more like this—happy and live in peace—where every child gets a chance to learn and play.

Everyone is so polite and hardworking in this project, especially the other volunteers. They are very helpful with everything.

We are pleased and lucky to be here and to have this chance. I think everyone should experience a project like this at least once.
