July 2015 Pictures from Svitac
Our busy summer continues! Below is a gallery of July 2015 pictures from Svitac, with a brief description of our activities that month.
Creative arts are a staple at Svitac, but so are many other fun activities for young people.
Like throwing paper airplanes!
In July 131 participants attended regular Svitac workshops. These included:
- Music workshops — samba, guitar, hip hop, music workshops for children
- Culture and Art Diversity around the World
- Fun Day
- Knitting workshops
- Language workshops in English and German
- ‘Šprechen Themen Argumentieren! I Meinungen Austauschen???’ (informal German workshops for teenagers and young people)
- I love English (informal English workshops for teenagers and young people)
- Local language classes for international volunteers
- Sports workshops, “Freeletics”
- Cooperation with Brčko district schools – Two volunteers took part in a “Stammtisch” organised by “Glossa – a centre for the German language” for over 20 people in the city of Tuzla. Glossa made certain that each participant spoke at least for a short time with the volunteers to develop their language skills.
- Participants attending all regular workshops were between 4 and 40 years old. The youngest and the oldest participants attended Culture and Art Diversity around the World workshops, and English/German workshops for adults
- Svitac’s Director notes that it was getting really hot in July and because of this everybody had sleeping problems, and felt exhausted most of the time.
