International Peace Academy 2018

From 18th to 25th May, Svitac (Firefly) representatives (Miloš Popić, Zerina Kurtović, Slađana Bašić, Stefan Savčić and Sanel Delić) attended the International Peace Academy 2018 („What the world worth to you?) in Dresden, Germany.

400 participants from almost 40 countries gathered to find out where and why our world is in a precarious situation and what we can do about it.

The Peace Academy in and around Dresden, Germany, was an international youth gathering in an academy style.

Days were filled with workshops, concerts, activities, an international evenings, and much more.

The participants discussed peace issues, shared ideas and experiences and learned from one another – but of course, they also had fun, sang, danced, laughed and got to know each other.

As a part of the program Svitac (Firefly) organised workshop which presented perspective on a better future for Bosnia and Herzegovina from the perspectives of organisations, which have the common goal of promoting tolerance and fighting every type of discrimination in our society.

The Peace Academy was an open event for young people aged between 16 and 27 from all over the world.
