International Day of Tolerance 2018
On the occasion of the International Day of Tolerance, 16th November Svitac (Firefly) organized creative workshops involving two groups of participants. The aim of the workshops was to promote the importance of interpersonal tolerance, and to recognize and appreciate people as individuals, and not just as members of particular groups.
The younger participants listened to a story about tolerance adapted to their age called “It’s okay to be different”, and watched cartoons on the same topic.
The afternoon group participated in a discussion on prejudices and how to overcome them. Afterwards they did activities that focus on cooperation and teamwork.
Workshops were held on the premises of the Youth Centre Brčko District, BiH.
