International Day against Child Labour 2023
The UN marks the International Day against Child Labour on 12th June every year.
Svitac (Firefly in Bosnia) marked this day with our youngest participants. We spoke with them about many children in the world that have to work in order to financially support their families. We also asked them what children should do – and the answer was to play as much as possible. The group has created a beautiful colourful poster on this topic and they also drew their perfect playground.
This activity has reminded our participants that many children around the world are suffering, but also that they have a right to a happy childhood, education, health, and love.
