Global Day of Parents 2023
Since the 1980s, the international community has been increasingly aware of the importance of the family. The General Assembly passed a number of resolutions, declaring the International Year of the Family and the International Day of Families. Children should grow up in a family context and in an atmosphere of support, happiness, love, and understanding for the full and harmonious development of their individuality.
Omladinska organizacija Svitac (Firefly in Bosnia) hosted an engaging and creative workshop on this topic for children aged 4 to 7. We discussed how much we love and respect our parents, watched an animated video about a happy family, and produced lovely cards for them.
The workshop was held on the premises of the Youth Centre of Brčko District.
