Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development

In November 2001 the UNESCO General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity and declared 21 May World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
Cultural diversity should be the driving force of development, based on tolerance, mutual respect, understanding and acceptance.

Svitac (Firefly Bosnia) celebrated this day through online workshops with participants aged 4-7 and 15+. We talked with younger participants about interesting facts and differences between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Great Britain and have tried in that way to learn more about different culture and customs.

A group of 15+ sent us their messages about the countries they wanted to travel to and why they are attracted to that particular culture.

How different and yet so similar, how distant and yet so close!
